Today, we’re focusing on how to plan a plastic-free Halloween. We always love Beyond Plastic’s Plastic-Free Halloween Tips and we have some suggestions for plastic-free alternatives below in terms of the most important aspect of the holiday - CANDY.

Happy Almost-Autumn! We have a few volunteer opportunities and some free upcoming events we wanted to tell you about. The Hudson Valley Garlic Festival is seeking a crew to help facilitate its Zero Waste program on September 28th and 29th at Cantine Field in Saugerties. Sign up below. CCAPP members will also be collecting trash around Uptown Kingston on Sunday, September 22nd from 3pm-5pm.
Summer 2024 - Plastic Free July
The Packaging Reduction and Recycling Infrastructure Act passed in the NYS Senate, but unfortunately was not brought to a vote in the Assembly this legislative session. We’re deeply disappointed but we can’t give up! We appreciate any calls or emails you made to share your support. We also can’t thank Assemblymember Sarahana Shrestha and Senator Michelle Hinchey enough for co-sponsoring this monumental bill. We’ll keep you all updated on any further action or news.
